A. Digital photographs are often stored on a hard drive and forgotten about. They may be posted to social media, but are quickly replaced with new content. The only way to ensure your photographs are enjoyed for years to come is to print them! While there are many labs that are open to the public, there are a few high-quality labs that are only open to professional photographers. These types of labs are able to print incredible details with colours, contrast, brightness, and sharpness that match exactly what the photographer has sent over. Simply put, the labs that a consumer has access to can’t match the quality of a professional lab. As a photographer specializing in making beautiful artwork for your walls, I have learned all of the techniques to make sure that your wall art looks perfect regardless of the size. Certain editing choices like overly contrasted photos, photos that benefit from the backlight of a screen, and photos with unprintable colours generally don’t print well so it is important to hire a photographer who understands the intricacies of printing photos. As your photographer, I promise to create the perfect prints that you will enjoy for years to come.
A. While I might ask my models to do some goofy poses, my editing style is anything but. When you are creating wall art or albums you want to make sure you are using photos that will stand the test of time. My goal is to create photos that you are proud to hang up on your wall for even a decade or so. This means my editing style is simple, natural, and will resonate for years to come.
A. Of course! I will work with you and your pet within their abilities to create gorgeous photos of your pet that capture their personality!
A. It is one of my policies for pets to always be on a leash. Leashes can be strategically hidden in photos or photoshopped out if needed. I promise, by the time the photos are fully edited, you won’t know there was a leash!
A. Absolutely! I photograph all kinds of pets. Check out my portfolio to see some examples.
A. All purchased artwork comes with a complimentary watermarked digital file. If you would like high-resolution photos that are not watermarked, we have a digital package you can purchase.
A. Many photographers will say it’s not the gear you shoot with, it’s the person behind the lens. While that is absolutely correct - to a point, gear does matter as it does decide what types of photos we will be able to take. I have a wide range of lenses that will allow me to take a variety of photos, from super goof portraits to awe-inspiring photos of your pet in the middle of an amazing landscape, to your furry pal in front of a creamy blurred out background so that they become the star of the show. Technically speaking, I have one of the best-in-class cameras available right now allowing me to capture small details and photos that you will be able to print as large as your wall space allows.
A. I highly recommend you join your pet in the photos! Depending on how comfortable you are in front of the camera, we can come up with some adorable poses that show the bond between yourself and your pet.
A. It can be devastating when your pet receives a terminal diagnosis. I promise to do whatever I can to get your pet in quickly and make sure they are comfortable during the session. We do have a ‘celebration of life’ package that includes an album and a canvas to make your ordering choice easier, or you can choose your own package or set of products.
